The Chico Women’s Club is led by a volunteer board that guides the direction of the organization and oversees the ongoing care and use of the clubhouse.

The board provides oversight, supports key decisions, and helps ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization.
Operations & Staff
Day-to-day operations are handled by individuals who support the practical needs of the clubhouse and its programming.

These roles keep the space running smoothly and ensure events and programs can take place without friction.

Serra Wells — President
Serra Wells has been connected to the Chico Women’s Club since 2013 and joined the board to support a new chapter of leadership and collaboration. A longtime community organizer and founder of Sacred Beginnings, she is committed to bringing diverse voices together through creativity and connection.

Joy Mendoza — Treasurer
Joy has been an integral part of the Chico Women’s Club for over 15 years, contributing to the board and supporting its ongoing vitality. She is passionate about promoting the club’s dedication to the arts, music, sustainability, and scholarships for young women, and brings that same community-centered spirit to her work as an avid square dancer and current president of the Ridge Runners Square Dance Club.

Debbie Silveira— Secretary
Debbie Silveira has served on the Board of Trustees since 2020, joining at the encouragement of longtime member Debra-Lou Hoffmann. With a lifelong background in healthcare, she is passionate about supporting the community and values the clubhouse as a space for connection, creativity, and learning.

Debra-Lou Hoffmann — Trustee, Building Committee Chair
Debra-Lou Hoffmann has been a member since 2001, continuing a family legacy alongside her mother and sister. With a 38-year career as a Special Needs teacher and deep ties to local arts and housing initiatives, she is committed to preserving the clubhouse as a place for connection and creativity.

Glynda Lee Hoffmann — Trustee
Glynda Lee Hoffmann has been a member since 2001 and played a key role in revitalizing the Chico Women’s Club during a pivotal time in its history. She has been instrumental in major clubhouse improvements. A past President of the Board of Trustees, she has provided steady leadership while remaining deeply committed to preserving the space as a hub for community, creativity, and connection.

Brae Onnah Sisk — Trustee, Membership Coordinator
Brae Onnah Sisk has been involved with the Chico Women’s Club in recent years, building on a longstanding family connection through her mother’s board service. As a somatic therapist and co-founder of SomaRoot Center for Embodied Arts, she brings a strong focus on community-building through arts and education.

Morea Martin — Trustee
Morea Martin is a newer board member inspired by the history and connection the Chico Women’s Club brings to the community. As a mother, artist, and small business owner, she is passionate about creating spaces where relationships grow and creativity and community come together.

Colleen Wofchuck — Operations, Building Manager
Colleen Wofchuck has a longstanding connection to the Chico Women’s Club, having previously served on the Board of Trustees before becoming Building Manager in 2022. A mother and avid gardener, she enjoys being part of community events and helps keep the clubhouse welcoming, functional, and ready for gatherings.
Governance & Transparency
As a 501(c)(4) social welfare nonprofit, the Chico Women’s Club is committed to responsible stewardship and clear access to organizational information.
